Rounding It All Off

Well here marks a very memorable experience in Iwrite. Thanks for all your contributions guys. I really enjoyed reading your blogs.

To conclude I think I have summed up that the event of Princess Diana's death has been carried on for far too long. The media just needs to stop all the publicing and let the memory of her lay to rest. The constant reviewing of how she died by courts is also unnecessary . The cause of her death has been established many times.

The media destroyed Diana's life, they chased her to her death in the tunnel in France. Sadly we see the media with other celebritys such as in the states that are having their privacy invaded sometimes to a far more shocking degree that should ever take place.

Below I have listed my resources for my blog.

The Paparazzi

The paparazzi would follow celebritys to the brink of their death if they had the chance. And indeed they did have that chance with Princess Diana, where they lapped up the hype surrounding it. And still ten years down the line, you see those headlines ''Diana, was she murdered?''

The paparazzi as evil as they are, are still only doing a job, the people who constantly click that button to take photos are doing what they are told by the bosses, and same with the journalists.

So the question has to be asked, do the Paparazzi have to much freedom when it comes to the lengths they take to find out a story? I certainly think so!

below are links to some interesting articles that surround the topic.

Celebritys, do they cop too much?

I think it is time to branch off my orional topic here. Talking about Diana so much and all the aftermath from the Papparazzi for so long has got me thinking.. Do celebritys have to put up with too much from the Papparazzi?

I am sure we have all wondered about this one. You may say that because of their profession and the obbsession that fans have with them as a result of their works, it is expected of them to receive such lime light.

However what about when it goes too far? for instance a celebrity has a break down, should that also be so cruely displayed across all forms of media? whether it be the news, maganines, or the internet? Do these people deserve such a privacy that the normal public holds?

In my opinion yes they do, in a lot of cases they have to expect for a lot of their personal life to be put out across the world. But there are some things where the line has to be drawn.

Britiany Spears recently had a massive break down where she shaved off her hair as a result. Should the magazines draw the line at a point such as this and perhaps not either report it, but if they must not report it enough to humiliate her?
(and do not call me a hyprocrite for posting a picture myself of the shaved Britiany, i have to do it to show everyone how serious this matter is.......lol)

The Possible Conspiracy

According to Dodi Fayed's father, Mohammad Al-Fayed, the reckless intoxicated driving of Henri Paul was not the cause of his sons and Diana's death. Even after two comprehensive investigations into her death he still believes that there was a plot to kill his son and Diana

Mohammad belives the M16 were ordered by the Duke of Edinburugh to kill them. As absurd as this may seem Al-Fayed has kept to his claims.

Which really leads me to the question, do some people take things to far when it comes to the death of a celeberity? (in this case a royal celebrity). Are people like Dodi Al-Fayed just attention seekers who want their claim to fame with the media? After all their was not a shread of evidence to support Dodi Al-Fayed's claims.

Time line leading up to death of Diana

Hi everyone. Here is a timeline of the immediate events leading up to the crash. Just some background info for you all :)

Princess Diana – Events leading up to the crash. A brief Summary.

30th August 1997 - On the night of the crash Princess Diana was with her partner Al Fayed. They had arrived in Paris earlier in the day to spend one night in the city together.

1520 - The couple are picked up by Henri Paul at the airport and are driven to the Ritz hotel. They are followed by the Paparazzi.

1800 - After arriving at the Ritz Al Fayed goes and picks up a ring from the jewellers across the road from the Hotel. Two body guards accompany him.

1900 - The couple go to Al Fayed’s apartment. They go a different way than usual to not be seen by the Paparazzi .

2130 - Al Fayed planned to take Diana out for a romantic dinner but his plans are ruined by the paparazzi who hound the couple everywhere they go. With this they decide to go back to the Ritz hotel. The paparazzi follow them.

2155 - When they arrive security at the hotel call Henri Paul and inform him the couple have returned.

2200 The couple enter the hotel restaurant but only stay for 10 minutes, they move to the Imperial suite to dine instead.

2201 - Henri Paul enters the Hotel and meets the two body guards of the couple in the bar. He consumes two drinks of alcohol.

2300 - Henri Paul speaks to the Paparazzi outside the hotel. According to people in the Media throng he was acting out of Character. He informed them that the couple would soon depart.

2337 - Henri Paul speaks with the couple back in the Imperial Suite, they plan to return to the apartment owned by Al Fayed. Henri Paul then informs the two body guards that a plan is in place to give the Paparazzi the slip. The two vehicles the couple had been using that day were to leave the front of the Hotel with only the body guards inside. A new car at the back of the Hotel was arranged to take the couple back to the apartment. The body guards inform the couple that they will have no protection if all body guards were in the decoy cars, the couple permits one to ride with them.

31st August 1997 0025 - The car driven by Henri Paul carrying the couple and their body guard smashes into a pillar in the Alma tunnel. Henri Paul and Al Fayed are killed instantly. Diana is taken to hospital after being cut out of the wreckage but he soon dies after arrival from her serious injuries. The body guard survives the crash.

The Statistics of the latest inquest.

In support of my argument of the absurdity of the latest inquest into her death, below i have outlined the shear cost of what the inquest has cost the tax payer.

It is estimated that is has cost the combined tax payer close to 10 million Euro for the whole inquest from start to finish. That is close to $30 millon NZ. It is ludacris to be spending this much tax payers money on something that has already been investigated thourghly by previous inquests. Inquests from two different countrys infact. This money could of been put to a much greater use. How about funding for hospitals? schools? The mind does boggle at how the so called authoritys can waste so much money to get the same result as previous investigations.

Here is a link to more statistical facts from the inquest.

Diana, has it been dragged on for too long?

On the night of 31st of August 1997 Princess Diana, her partner Dodi Al Fayed, and Henri Paul the driver were all killed when their Mercedes smashed into a pylon half way down the Alma tunnel in Paris.

Nearly ten years later we are still talking about it, hearing about it, and reading about it. More than one official inquest has been made into the death of Diana, and not more than one outcome has been found. Conspiraceis are ripe surrounding her death. Was she killed by M16 agents who were waiting to ambush the car in the tunnel? Did the Duke of Edinburgh have a role in her death? Conspiracy theories like this have been floating around for years, ten years infact!

So really a question has to be asked. Has it all gone too far? After more than on official inquest involving hundreds of witnesses and tax payer dollars we have been told the outcome more than once. It was simply an accident where drink driving and speed was involved. Yet we still see those bold and brash headlines in the news papers and magazines today ''Diana, Murdered?''.

Where are you supposed to draw the line on these sorts of things?

Please let me know your view on this one guys!
